Have arrived home feeling wonderful & relaxed. The villa was wonderful - everything we wanted in a holiday home. As soon as we walked in we had the WOW factor, the villa was well equipped and the garden and pool wonderful. We go used to the chill in the pool pretty quickly and welcomed it when the afternoons got warm. The view was fantastic, especially at sunrise and dusk. The area is so peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience.

The villa was great.  Clean, tidy and well equipped.  The pool was lovely - cold but refreshing.  Burgau has everything you need on the doorstep.  We stayed a week without a car and didn't need toto leave Burgau as has two grocery stores and shops and restaurants.  Good communication from the owners and would definitely recommend staying here.   August 6 - 13, 2019.  HomeAway 5* Review.

Dear Bernie, It's been a few days since we arrived home and I wanted to let you know we have had a great time in Villa Miranda.  It is a lovely house with a great view and within walking distance of the village and beach.  It was not warm enough (springtime) to spend the evenings outside but indoors it was fine also.  Will you thank the owners from us?

I though I would just drop you a quick line as my fiancee and I are waiting for our return flight home.  We had a great stay at Casa Sossego this past week and really made the most of the relaxing environment to recover from a hectic year so far.  Specifically, we were really impressed with the speed at which Clara and her maintenance team resolved the broken fridge, I really did not expect that.  All in all, the service and experience was great, thank you.

"I have just come back from staying in Cristaluz Apt D.  The apartment and complex were more than we expected, they are fantastic.  The apartment is big, spacious, well equipped and very clean, we loved the huge veranda and all 4 doors opening directly onto it.  We had an 8 year old with us and so having the private gated steps down to the pool was great and felt very safe.  The pool itself was large and warm with plenty of ground around the pool to relax on the sunbeds.  It is close to the shops and a few minutes further on to the beach.  Excellent apartment and we are already looking for dates to go back next year."  Joan.  UK.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Bonita, we really enjoyed our break and seriously considered barricading ourselves in on the last day ....

I just wanted to let you know we all had such a lovely stay in Villa Miramar. We all came back feeling very relaxed and have some great memories from a fantastic holiday! The pictures online don't do the villa justice, the views were absolutely amazing and I definitely miss waking up to that every day and eating breakfast on the balcony! And the villa itself was really lovely, very clean, lots of space and the maids did a great job every time they came in. All in all it was a great holiday, perfect villa and I will definitely recommend your website to others and will definitely be back to stay there again in the future. Many thanks for all your help with the booking, directions, notes on supermarkets etc it made everything run very smoothly.

Magnificent house with superb views and very pleasant. The manager of the house was great and responsive to the slightest request. The swimming pool is great, pity that it is not heated because the water in Portugal is very cold!

Beautifully decorated, spacious… every need considered (just bring your nespresso coffee capsules if you will get in late). Finally a place with enough towels, blankets and space for everything. The place is perfectly maintained. The pool was a joy both and the beginning and end of each day. The walk to the village and the beach and all restaurants is easy. But the neighbourhood is quiet. And Lagos is close by for more of a city atmosphere/shopping. So many beaches and «must see» sites accessible and a short drive away. I am already looking for an opportunity to come back with others. The apt is quiet and yet central and is therefore a perfect location to get to know Luz and the surrounding area.  The equipment leaves nothing to be desired.  Washing machine, iron, coffee maker, kitchen utensils.  Everything available. Towels and bedding were changed regularly.  The pool area cleaned regularly.  We always had the impression that hygiene was a priority and that it was lived.  The contact with the agency was great.  Always short response times and great service.  Thanks for that. Parking space available.  Feeling of security is very good, as all entrances (including the pool and garden areas) can only be accessed with a number code.  On 3 days it was a bit louder in the neighbouring apartment because the bathroom was being renovated.  It was temporarily annoying but we dealt with the situation flexibly and then it was undertaken.  Overall, a clean and good value for money.  Thank you and see you soon. Have just returned from a lovely stay at Casa Sossego.  The villa is immaculate, very spacious, with wonderful views from the terrace.

The villa is hardly a 10 min walk to the nearest supermarket and 15 mins to the beach and restaurants.  The pool was very welcome after a day on the beach to cool off, with plenty of loungers and chairs in both sun and shade.  Also the pool was cleaned whilst we were there and the garden tidied.  The local agent Clara was extremely helpful when we had a problem with the TV, and got it fixed straight away.  We would definitely return to this villa again and the lovely resort of Luz.

This is a lovely, compact family friendly villa.  The pool is fabulous for family use, it is very close to shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beautiful beach.  We did not have a car and found plenty within small child walking distance and the bus to Lagos was simple and easy to use.  The upstairs living space of this property is wonderful and the views across the bay a joy to wake up to.  The only suggestion that I have that would improve the property is the addition of some plastic plates, bowls and cups for children's use.

"Located about 4 minutes from the nearest shop and 8 minutes from the beach, this is a great family property.  Part of a complex of 40+ relatively new properties this 2 bed house has plenty of room for a family of 4.  There are lots of restaurants within walking distance although booking ahead is essential for most of them in the Summer holidays.  We particularly liked Ancora, Casa Padaria, Esquina, Bombordo and El Navegador.  There's a small grocery shop about 4 minutes walk away but it's worth going a bit further to the small supermarket next to the church as there's more choice.  There are a couple of big hills to navigate to get to and from the beach and several of the restaurants - that would be the case pretty much wherever you stayed in Burgau.  The hills were no problem at all for our children (age 8 and 11) but it would be more challenging with a pram or for anyone with limited mobility.  Gary the TukTuk man will do short trips and is a regular face around the village.  You can find his details and lots of other useful information on the Facebook group Burgau Info News Chat.  We loved Burgau, it's got a really friendly feel to it and almost everyone we met there on holiday was a repeat visitor."   HomeAway 5* Review August 2019.

We loved Burgau.  Can't believe I have not been to Portugal before!  Granddaughter Harriet was 13 whilst we were there and on her birthday we went dolphin watching in the morning and had dinner at the Beach Bar in the evening.  A very special way to become a teenager!  We decided it would be a good place to spend her birthday every year!

Our family had a great time in your Acacias Apartment D2. The apartment is very nice, clean and has a wonderful view and a beautiful pool area. Everything was fine with Clara and the maid. The Algarve is a very nice place to make holiday, but 2 weeks are too short. One day we would like to come again.

The contact and the booking were made easy by Bernie in the office who, upon payment, furnished me with a complete set of details of shops, restaurants and attractions. When my daughter saw the photos of the house she asked if she could visit us.  Bernie and the owners were literally happy to accommodate us.  The house is such that two families can have half the house each - great for young ones with different bedtimes.  Everyone can get together in the lovely courtyard which catches the late afternoon sun.  A lot of thought has gone into supplying a comprehensive set of kitchen tools and crockery.  Twice for the 2 kitchens.  We prefer to buy local and cook or barbecue as often as possible.  We made regular trips to the bigger super market for our main shopping and heavy stuff like bottled water and charcoal came from a small friendly supermarket a few steps up the road.  There was a manager on hand abased in Luz who helped us with trivial problems and her excellent cleaning staff cleaned thoroughly and replaced laundry for us.  Inevitably things break during a busy season and with back-to-back rentals there's not always time to make repairs.  We contacted the manager who was able to sort all issues out promptly.  What was nice was to be able to leave towels and bags on the hired beach-loungers, stroll the 5 minutes home for a cool beer and a shower, then eat and wander back down to the beach - really convenient.  If you are happy to remain in Luz for meals out then there is no need for a car.  There are, however,  many good restaurants along the coast and in nearby Lagos, so public transport or a car would be needed.  The management can help there too.  In the evenings the activity is down on the promenade with many bars and restaurants, but no matter how much you over-indulge, you know you're only 5 minutes from home.

The villa was spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed for our stay.  We contacted Clara on Saturday morning as the hairdryer smelled like it was overheating and by Sunday morning she had provided a brand new one!  We are eager to book again for next year and will contact you again soon about availability for next August.  I'm not telling too many people all the details about our wonderful holiday though .. at least not until we have secured a booking for next year first!  Thanks again.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at No 16 and wanted to email to say what a wonderful villa and lovely management team.  The villa and pool are kept spotless and Candida and her family are so friendly and helpful, they really helped to make the holiday special.  I have left a review on Tripadvisor to this effect. "A travel friend and myself stayed at this two bedroom villa for 12 days and enjoyed its surroundings and amenities immensely!  The sea and cliffs views are without a doubt outstanding!  The villa itself was well appointed and very clean.  The pool was a wonderful addition and we certainly enjoyed our use of it, despite the time of year (April/May) and the cooler water temperatures.  The property manager Clara was always available and very pleasant to work with.  The gardens and the pool were maintained regularly.  The only disappointment for me was that the bbq was quite small and that it wasn't a traditional Portuguese brick-built bbq which is such a wonderful feature in other villas I have rented.  It is this reason I give this property a four star rating vs a five star rating.  It is a personal preference of mine and that may not be  a concern for others.  It is certainly not a reason for not renting this villa.  This property is ideally located; well within walking distance to restaurants, delightful pubs and cafes, food markets, pharmacy, post office etc as well as beautiful Praia da Luz beach!  Morning walks are a joy and the villagers are a pleasure to come to know!  I would highly recommend this property and commend the owners and property manager for the attention they give it to ensure their guests have a very memorable stay!  Thank you for everything! We have just arrived at the villa, and it's stunning!!! The view is just amazing and I think I might just sit here forever!! It's just what we needed and we can't wait to explore the village and sea beyond.

"We enjoyed our 6 nights in Villa Maria with plenty of space and a nice equipped kitchen as well as outdoor grill.  In addition, we could move around with the sun to the various seating areas outside.  It was clean and nice everywhere, except for the pool, which was quite a few leaves, probably because it had not been looked after just before we arrived.  Halfway through, the people came and cleaned the pool so everything went well.  We also enjoyed walking down to the beach along the back road along the smaller roads and paths facing east  All in all, we enjoyed relaxing after 8 days of intense sightseeing in the rest of Portugal  We would love to come again and recommend the place to others."    VRBO 5*  October 2020

Very lovely place to spend holiday in this villa! Pool, sun and sea! The kitchen was perfect and we made a lot of homemade food, but also visited excellent restaurants. Best were A Fabrica, Pashmina and Ondaluz. Visit in West Coast - Sagres, Aljezur was great. Thank you! ADEVI!

"All was expected, as we had been to Burgau before and knew the properties.  It is ideally located with a short walk to the beach.  Lovely pool and outside patio area.  Air con very effective and the place was very clean.  Bed was a bit hard!  Pity not to have condiments to air self catering but perhaps that's a health and safety issue.  Overall a very nice property and I would recommend it."  Sept 2019.  HomeAway 5* Review

"All was clean and decent location, 20 minute walk from Luz beach or a short taxi ride.  Enjoyed the holiday and the villa topped it off.  Couldn't get the microwave to work but that could have been us.  Would definitely visit the area and use the villa again.  Thank you to all involved"
